Hathcock hit an inside the park grand slam in the first inning, scoring four runs, and tripled in the second inning, scoring three. Forrest Middle Rockets were the first to get on the board in the first when Lucas Harber singled, scoring one run. #HMS Baseball flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring eight runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-1. The biggest blow in the inning was an inside the park grand slam by Hathcock that drove in four. Harris Middle School Baseball scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Knox Bowman singled, scoring one run, Omar Garcia grounded out, scoring one run, Hathcock tripled, scoring three runs, and Canyon Todd singled, scoring one run. A ground out by Mason Bowman extended the Harris Middle School Baseball lead to 15-7 in the bottom of the third inning. Harris Middle School Baseball scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jake Dunnavant singled, scoring two runs, Logan Luna singled, scoring one run, and Bowman doubled, scoring two runs. Todd stepped on the bump first for Harris Middle School Baseball. The starter gave up 13 hits and eight runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three. Jagger Mitchell started on the bump for Forrest Middle Rockets. The pitcher surrendered three hits and seven runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two and walking four. Mason Carney appeared in relief for Harris Middle School Baseball. Harris Middle School Baseball piled up 15 hits in the game. Dunnavant, Luna, and Bowman each collected multiple hits for Harris Middle School Baseball. This Thursday, March 12, from 3:30-6:30pm #HarrisMiddleSchool will be hosting a Parent/Teacher Conference night. Parent/Guardians are invited to come speak to the teachers and staff at #HMS about their students, the school, and anything else involving the education of the students in their lives.

#GearUp will be having a Parent Night Informational Meeting from 5-6pm in the HMS Cafeteria. This is for parents/guardians of 7th and 8th grade students to learn more about getting your students ready for high school and beyond.

HMS will also be hosting a Parent University from 6-7pm in the HMS Library to discuss both the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program(TCAP) and End-of-Course(EOC) testing.
