As a result of the success of our sports teams, Bedford County Schools will dismiss at 1/2 a day again on Thursday, 5/21/2026 and Friday, 5/22/2026 is a 2 hour day.

Are you ready for high school?
If you are a current 8th grade student at either #HMS or Liberty you can sign up for Eagle Flight School, which will take place on Monday June 1 and Tuesday June 2 from 8am to 3pm.
Lunch and snacks will be provided both days.
There be an ice cream social.
These two days will help you get ready for high school by:
-exploring 10+ career pathways through hands-on activities,
-learning from real professionals in the fields of aerospace, health care, law enforcement, welding, coding, and more,
-learn how to navigate SCHS campus like a pro,
-discover clubs, electives, and other opportunities for your freshman year.
