Congratulations to the young ladies who made the 2026-2027 #HarrisMiddleSchool Girls Soccer Team!
Have a great summer ladies. We know that you will make all of us at #HMS proud as you #SoarAboveTheRest!
Over the course of the 2025–2026 school year, #HarrisMiddleSchool had 72 different students earn a #HMS Student of the Week award for their grade level.
From those 72 students, 30 went on to become their grade level Students of the Month.
In May, three students were selected as Grade-Level Students of the Year. From those three students, one was chosen as the Overall HMS Student of the Year.

GEAR UP Summer Enrichment Program will be sponsoring a blood drive on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Shelbyville Central High School from 8am - 2pm in the SCHS auditorium lobby.
Walk-ins will be accepted, but appointments are advised.
We still have 15 spots open if anyone is interested in registering to donate blood. To schedule an appointment, you can either contact Leslie Blackburn at blackburnl@bedfordk12tn.net by 3pm Monday, June 1, 2026, or click GEAR UP Summer Blood Drive to sign up.

If you are a current 8th grade student at either #HMS or Liberty you can sign up for Eagle Flight School, which will take place on Monday June 1 and Tuesday June 2 from 8am to 3pm.
Lunch and snacks will be provided both days.
There be an ice cream social.
These two days will help you get ready for high school by:
-exploring 10+ career pathways through hands-on activities,
-learning from real professionals in the fields of aerospace, health care, law enforcement, welding, coding, and more,
-learn how to navigate SCHS campus like a pro,
-discover clubs, electives, and other opportunities for your freshman year.
