The team will be collecting gently used items for the yard sale until Friday, October 9. Items can be dropped off for the #HMS Wrestling Yard Sale at the Shelbyville Central High School office for Coach Dario Rudas.

If you use Bedford County Schools’ School Age Care Program (SACP) for childcare, we want to let you know that SACP rates will increase beginning October 19.
We understand that any tuition increase affects families, and this was carefully considered. The cost of operating SACP has increased, including staff pay, food and snacks, supplies, transportation, field trips, and equipment. The updated rates will help us continue providing safe, dependable care from 6 a.m.–6 p.m. before and after school, during school breaks, and throughout the summer - without reducing services or eliminating full-day care.
Families will continue to be charged only for the days their child attends.

The #HMS Homecoming Dance will be Friday evening in the HMS Gym from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM. Admission will be $5 and is for HMS Students only. Tickets will be on sale at lunch and students will be given a wristband for admission to the dance.

HMS SPORTS WEEKLY RECAP | SEPTEMBER 14–18

It was another full week of action here at #HMS! So, without further ado, let’s turn on EagleVision and take a look back at all the HMS Sports action from September 14–18!
🏐 MONDAY
HMS Volleyball got the week started on the road, and our Eaglettes came home with a win over Franklin North! Way to start the week, ladies! 🦅🏐
🏈 TUESDAY
HMS Football was also on the road this week, traveling to Tullahoma to take on the Wildcats in a rematch of their Week 1 matchup.
The results were VERY different this time around! Our Eagles brought home a 34–0 shutout victory! 🔥
With the win, HMS Football has now won four straight games and moves to 4–1 in district play and 4–3 overall. We are incredibly proud of our players and coaches!
Following the Week 7 victory, Coach Ransom had this to say:
“This game wasn't about revenge; it was about doing the same things that got us where we are today. Failure allowed us to learn from a lot of things, but just to make our school proud is the biggest takeaway from this game.”
🏈 Players of the Game: Zaden Sanders & Raymond Jensen
⚽ HMS Girls Soccer continued the road-game trend Tuesday night with a dominant 7–0 victory over Coffee County!
Daleysa Hernandez led the way with 3 goals, while Slayleigh Doak added 2 goals, including one assisted by Sydney Peacock. Emily Grijalva and Sydney Peacock each added a goal of their own.
And once again, Gaby Reyes kept the opposition off the scoreboard with another clean sheet! 🧤⚽
The victory also helped lock up an undefeated regular season for our Eaglettes! HMS Girls Soccer finishes the regular season 9–0–3! 🦅⚽🔥

HMS Volleyball played a rare mid-week daytime home match against Cascade on Wednesday. Unfortunately, our Eaglettes couldn't quite come away with the win this time around.

Recently, school counselors and school social workers from across Bedford County Schools came together for a collaborative meeting focused on professional learning and student support.📚
As part of the meeting, staff completed Child Abuse Coordinator Training, strengthening their knowledge and preparedness to help protect and support #students when it matters most.
BCS Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health Supervisor Lindsay Wiley led the training, providing an opportunity for counselors and social workers to learn, collaborate and strengthen the support they provide to students.🌟
