HMS Weekly Sports Preview | August 10-14
Hello and Happy Monday to all of our #HarrisMiddleSchool Family! We have a very busy week ahead for #HMS Sports, as four different teams will be in action this week. So, let’s turn on EagleVision (patent pending) and see what we have in store! 👀🦅
On Monday, August 10, the HMS Girls Soccer team will travel to E.O. Coffman (get ready for a recurring theme). Varsity starts at 6:00 p.m., with Junior Varsity to follow.
HMS Volleyball will also be on the road Monday, traveling to Lewisburg to take on Lewisburg Middle. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, August 11, the HMS Football team will face off against E.O. Coffman in Lawrenceburg. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
No teams are in action on Wednesday, but we are back at it on Thursday, August 13, when HMS Volleyball travels to Lawrenceburg to take on E.O. Coffman. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

HMS Sports Weekly Recap | August 3-7
Hello and happy Friday and weekend to all of our #HarrisMiddleSchool family! Not only did school start back this week for our students, but two of our teams also took the field for their first regular-season action of the 2026 season.
#HMS Girls Soccer opened the week with two impressive victories over Whitthorne on Tuesday, August 4.
The Varsity squad earned a 4-1 victory. Macey Peacock scored two goals, while Daleysa Hernandez added two goals of her own. Emily Grijalva recorded an assist on one of Hernandez's goals.
The Junior Varsity team followed with a 3-0 win. Trinity Perkins, Ashley Guox, and Karoline Nunez each found the back of the net. Perkins also picked up an assist on Nunez's goal.
#HMS Football also took the field for the first time under new head coach Stepfon Ransom as the Eagles hosted Tullahoma. While the final score was Tullahoma 44, HMS 0, the team gained valuable experience and learned more about themselves as individuals and as teammates. Rather than dwelling on the outcome, the Eagles are focused on improving each day, stacking good practices together, and preparing for next week's game.
Congratulations to Emerson Trice, who was named Offensive Player of the Game, and Jordan Locke, who earned Defensive Player of the Game honors.
Looking ahead to next week (August 10-14), football and girls soccer return to action, while our #HMS Volleyball team opens its regular season. We'll have a complete preview of next week's contests in our HMS Sports Weekly Preview on Monday.
